I am truly excited to begin a new chapter in teaching at Queen Anne Elementary. I have heard so many great things about QAE and the community. It’s exciting to be joining a vibrant team of dedicated educators looking to create an environment for achievement.
I was raised in Ashland, OR, and later attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. After graduating with my BA in History from Whitman, I decided to pursue a career in education. Since earning my M.A.T. from Seattle Pacific University, I have led a variety of classrooms, ranging from elementary to high school. These experiences have taught me the importance of creating a fun and engaging classroom setting.
In my free time, I love to play guitar and listen to music. Some of my most memorable music experiences were having my rock band students open for Santana, and Crosby, Stills and Nash at EMP Museum. I frequently bring my interests into the classroom to foster lifelong learning and an appreciation for the arts.
