Another week down. Our routines and class jobs are done. Check out the job chart. We have quite a collection of weekly positions.
In addition to classroom responsibility, we've been working on problem solving strategies. Our class meetings have discussed the importance of understanding feelings as well as coping with difficult situations. Check out our frog wand. It eats what bugs us, and turns it into a wish. Ask your student what this means.
Reader and Writer's Workshop is moving along smoothly. Below is a collection of our goals in writing. Quite a variety.
Likewise, take a gander at these young literary critics. They are practicing strategies to read faster, stronger and longer.
Here's a picture of our Boggle Board. This has been a fun way to provide extension opportunities which promote spelling and dictionary skills.
Lastly, we've initiated our PBL for the year. Our theme is "Migration". So far we have begun observing and studying the seasonal changes around us. We also did a song on caribou. See if your student remembers the chorus. That's it for this week.

I'm still figuring out the RSS feed. Weebly isn't letting me add an icon. Also, some Chrome users have experienced difficulties with Weebly blogs in the past.
